RoHS/WEEE compliance of Advantech Equipment Corp products

The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.

The RoHS directive covers the same scope of electrical and electronic equipment that are under the WEEE directive, except that Category 8, Medical Devices, and Category 9, Monitoring and Control Instruments, which are under WEEE, are excluded from the RoHS directive.

 

WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)

All Advantech Equipment Corp device programmers series product meet WEEE compliance program and are marked and documented according to regulations of this directive.
 

RoHS (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances)

Advantech Equipment Corp device programmers and related parts fall to category 9 (monitoring and control equipment) according to WEEE/RoHS classification. These products are exempted from restrictions under the scope of RoHS directive at this time.
